How can FOOD CYCLES enhance the transformation of cities?
CREATIVE FOOD CYCLES opens this call for good practices that express and materialise sustainable food cycles. It is for innovative and creative projects—realised and implemented—that emerge from digitalisation, advanced technological implementation, digital manufacturing, sharing and informal economies, innovative participatory processes, increased awareness of climate change, and advanced strategies for urban and territorial resilience.
The Food Interactions catalogue will be structured in three parts, so the submission should answer to one of the following parts of the Food Cycle:
1. production to distribution
(i.e. innovative design for hydroponic-aquaponic gardens, 3D food printing, etc.)
2. distribution to consumption
(i.e. new forms of marketing, sharing economy, conviviality models etc.)
3. consumption to disposition
(i.e. food recycling for new design services and products, innovative packaging etc.)
All the material collected will be edited for an open access on-line publication (with ISSN).
